Behind LŪYŪ is Estelle, a 30-year-old Swiss girl, graduate from the École Hôtelière de Lausanne, passionate about the world of tea… and in love with the world of spirits. For more than four years, she has been working on a bold project: marrying the elegance of tea with the richness of liqueurs. An idea that has taken time to mature, driven by the desire to create something truly personal, genuine, and different.

Each of our liqueurs is imagined, handcrafted, and bottled in Switzerland in small batches, then individually hand-numbered.

The name LŪYŪ - pronounced /luːˈjuː/ or ‘lew-yoo’ - pays homage to Lu Yu, an 8th-century Chinese tea master celebrated as the author of The Classic of Tea, the first book ever written on the art of tea.
